Wowzer, asthma is kicking me down! It’s been two weeks and I should have picked up on it sooner that the allergist was the first stop. I finally figured that out on Thursday. So now I have an arsenal of asthma meds which I haven’t had to take for years.
Haiku Bones suggest “2 o’clock” as the prompt and Poetic Asides suggests using Partly_________ so I’m combining the two…
two o’clock coughing
seizes my lungs, a boa
constricts my life breath
partly my fault to
forget what it’s like
I have to say that this is the worse in many years. And as I write I realize I have written for the Read Write Poem prompt of writing about fears. Today my fear has been not able to breathe.
