2010 NaPoWriMo Day 15

I know. What happen to “Day 14?”  I crashed. Three late nights in a row.  I wanted to write. Wrote a few lines in a meeting but I crashed.   Today, I received news about potential changes in my work life for next year.  Our district wants to fund full day kindergarten everyday. Admirable.  However, they have chosen to change my work in such a way that it will impact my life significantly.

we finish dinner
dishes washed
towel hanging
take our evening walk
rain showers us
dodge the drip drops
with mouths open

with mouths open
dodge the drip drips
rain showers us
take our evening walk
towel hanging
dishes washed
we  finish dinner

ocean blue eyes
innocence taken too soon

Thanks for stopping by my blog to read my father poems. I am thinking book but am wondering if there’s a market for it. I suppose it would be a collection of poems, not a novel, because there’s not a real story arc.
