Poetry Friday: Heat

It’s the last Friday of our school year.  The Poetry Stretch for this week is to write about the heat. (Been warm in other parts of the country)

sun hides behind clouds
Oregon strawberries rot
no rain dance needed

zombie-like creatures
parade through the city streets
warm golden orb gone

Really the weather is totally miserable.  Everyone is like a zombie.  I think my muse has left for warmer clime as witnessed by the lack of blog entries.

Poetry Friday is hosted at Kelly Polark today.

    Sending sunny thoughts your way!
