Poem a Day: Day 18

From One Single Impression, the prompt is “shackles”. I am feeling the despair, the heat and unsettledness of what is happening to education in the state I teach in.  After 37 years, it’s deplorable how teachers are being treated.

house, senate debates
over education costs
shackles teacher’s lives
