Last year Irene Latham started the progressive poem. The poetry community is contributing to the progressive poem again this year.
When you listen to your footsteps (Amy VanDerwater)
the words become music and (Joy Acey)
the rhythm that you’re rapping gets your fingers tapping, too. (Matt Forrest)
Your pen starts dancing across the page
Tomorrow the poem heads to Dori Reads

Pingback: Circus time! Progressive Poem 2013 | Catherine Johnson
I love how alive this poem is. I hope everything starts dancing.
I just love the musical direction this has taken! But who knows if it will stay that way…or if there’s a polar bear just around the corner. You never know with the progressive poem! 🙂
Jone,
Yes, yes, yes! I love your dancing pen. Isn’t that the way poetry works? What a delightful contribution. I want to borrow your pen to see if it will dance as nicely for me.
I want to dance with a pen. Nice new direction to follow…
Oh, I love your line! It’s so much fun following the poem each day!
It’s fun to watch this playful poem developing 🙂 !
I wonder if… Great line, Jone. You’ve taken us into a new part with that pen.
We’re off and dancing…fun!
And around we go! Fun!
So much movement here already! We’re groovin’ the Progressive Poem! xo, a.
Yay for dancing pens! Let’s all pirouette and do-si-do. 🙂 Thank you, Jone. xo
