National Poetry Month: The “LL” Challenge: Shallows

Today’s word: SHALLOWS

Definitiona shallow part of a body of water; shoal

In the Shallows

a shimmer of gold
spotted
a glimmer of silver
shines
a swimmer takes off
looking
for deeper waters

I had shallows in my poem when I started, but I just wound up with the riverbank.
