National Poetry Month: The “LL” Challenge: Diallage

IMG_1540Today’s word: DIALLAGE

Definition: green or bronze colored pyroxene found in igneous rocks.

Dawn breaks
I pull on my boots, grab my pick, my shovel,
And sneak out.
Love to go rock hunting
Looking for an example of diallage|
Almost impossible to find
Encourages me to collect rocks.

I guess without saying it, there is some pride in this young rock hunter. That’s the word at Mary Lee’s blog today.
