SOL16 Day 1 of 31: How Will I Spend the Month?

IMG_0785

Everyone has a story and you can catch up on more slices for the  SOLSC at
Two Writing Teachers.

I love this challenge as it encourages me to be diligent in my writing practice.  I spent February writing about Found Objects in response to the prompts from Laura Shovan.  And next month, I will write poems each day for National Poetry Month.

Last year, I had this list of things to write.

Mom Mondays
Poetry forms
Poetry Rocks: Performance Poetry
My brother (birthday March 15)
How my job is evolving
Books I am reading
Responding to quotes
Spring
Remembering my dad (birthday March24)
Gardening or how my yard is attacking us
Downsizing/ Condo living
Hitch hiking off of other posts

Adding to the list:
Wednesday’s Wonderings
Response to Photos
Family Fridays
Thinking about National Poetry Month

What will you be writing about?

Great list! I never think of making a list before the challenge starts. I need to start making one now. I can see that really helping me get through the month. Thanks for the idea and happy slicing!

I have a number of things to write about, but it was very fun to write to Laura’s prompts every day in February. Will look for those poems, too, Jone.

  3. Great list Jone and tell me what is Wednesday Wonderings? Happy 1st Day!

Oh, I am so looking forward to touching base with you on Poetry Friday AND here at TWT every day in March, Jone!

I’m new at SOL too and I loved your list! I just may have to create one myself (or just steal some of yours) to get some daily writing inspiration.

  6. Tara says:

I like how you have so many different things to write about. I am horrible at keeping up a list. I think the list in the back of my journal has one thing on it right now… Looking forward to reading about some of these things!
