NaPoWriMo Poetic Form Challenge 11/30: Mystery Mondays

2016 NaPoWriMo

It’s Monday Mystery!  Today I’m featuring two little projects/models for my upcoming ART CART for fourth and fifth grade.  Fourth  and fifth graders will be able to use the ART CART during book checkout and recesses.

For April, our focus is on poetry since it’s National Poetry Month.

Students will have the opportunity to create poems from found words and phrases.  i spent time in Idaho cutting out words and finding school appropriate pages for them to cut out words.  After they create the poem they can place on a tile or glue to paper.

blackout poetry

Blackout Poetry.  I found a couple of books for sale at the public library.  They should be good for black out poetry.  It was a bit of a challenge but I hope that students will try it.

    I love your kind acts. On a tile, that’s a perfect idea for a gift – Mother’s Day or some-such. #takesnote
