February 1: #10 Words

Laura Shovan has had a yearly poetry challenge in February, her birthday month.  Last year  it was found objects.  For her fifth year, she’s chosen the theme of pulling ten words from a variety of news articles with a listed source.  Some will be from the current events of the day and others not so much.  The poems can be found on Facebook.

Here is for February 1, 2017:

psychology
actors
narrative
framework
pool
bravery
transcends
capture
conceal
doubt
Bonus word: chicken
Source: “Ten Meter Tower,” NY Times
And this is what I did with them:
Diving board psychology

It takes actors who conceal
the narrative of today

A framework of deception
where bravery transcends doubt
Jump into the murky pool

And some haiku

bravery transcends
