SOLSC17: 8/31, Annual “Cat in the Hat” Night at School

IMG_0785
Thank you to Two Writing Teachers for holding space for us to sharing our writing every day in March.

So last night, my school had our annual “Cat in the Hat” Night.  Since we do a monthly Family Library Night, celebrating Dr. Seuss’ on that date makes sense.  It doesn’t always line up with his birthday but it’s consistent.

What is so cool is our faith-based partnership with a local church.  They have provided muffins for Mom in the fall and cakes for this event.  But this year, they provided cupcakes and a cake.  A member of their church baked an amazing number of cupcakes.  The church also provided volunteers to guide families to readers, pass out bookmarks and even read.

Here is a collage of the evening.
