Thank you to Two Writing Teachers for holding space for us to sharing our writing every day in March.
One thing I love about my public library is the rounder of books and DVDs called “Lucky Day.”
It makes my day to go to the library when books on hold have arrived for pickup. Today I was picking up a book for a student who has gotten hooked on series.
The rounder had lots of new books and DVDs. I found In the Heart of the Sea, directed by Ron Howard. I also discovered Bruce Springsteen’s memoir, Born to Run. I was hooked reading the forward. Having cousins that live on the Jersey Shore, it should be an interesting read.
The library is one of those places that I could spend so much time getting lost.
I second to your last line. My local library is a wonderful place because the librarians know me and always have books to recommend. Cheers to all the librarians of the world! Extra cheer for school librarians!
Libraries are wonderful things, agreed! I usually have a lot of books out, but can’t resist browsing when I go to pick up a hold, just like you, Jone.
I love the library too! I love it so much I became a school librarian. 🙂 I love that you’re picking up a book for one of your students.
I’m a school librarian as well. Small world.
