SOLSC17: 20/31: Spring Begins

IMG_0785

Thank you to Two Writing Teachers for holding space for us to sharing our writing every day in March.

The first day of spring and the forecast calls for rain. The trees are about to burst in spring pink color. The buds waiting to pop open.

Overhead the geese fly and honk the welcome to spring. The hummingbirds chitter chatter their territory as  I put out their feeder replenished with sugar water.

The flickers are doing their best to peck away at the suet. I wonder if they know the time is coming when the days will be too warm to hang the suet blocks.

Spring arrives whilst we sleep. The sun hides behind the clouds as the rain patters against the window. And I go to school dressed still like winter.

This read like a poem to Spring, Jone -loved it.

The temps rose to 84 today, the first day of Spring. Feels almost like summer. Thanks for the imagery today.

  3. Ramona says:

It’s hard to feel spring in layers! I’ve been a bit jealous as I’ve watched the unseasonable temps my son has been enjoying on the east coast and my brother has been enjoying in the middle section of the country.
