Poetry Friday: Poetry Swap

Welcome to the final Poetry Friday for 2017. Thanks to Heidi at My Juicy Little Universe.

One of the best things about winter is the annual Poetry Swap organized by Tabatha.

This week a poem and some tea found its way into my mail. Our mail has been disastrous of late as our mailboxes were vandalized. We’ve had to go and collect it every couple of days.

Jane from RainCityLibrarian sent this poem:

Oh how I love to be,

as cozy as can be,

Curled up,

Around a cup,

Of chamomile tea.

~jane w.

I totally can relate. I love my morning tea. My response:

cozied tea

while I watch sunrise

comfort time

  1. Hurray, I’m so glad you liked it! Tea is one of those balms for my soul that I can always count on to brighten any day.

  2. Sorry to hear of your mailbox troubles. Your poems are quite comforting, though. Wishing you a year of happiness, glee, and lots and lots of tea!

  3. Hooray for the Winter Poem Swap! I’m so glad you and Jane (hee Jone and Jane!) could enjoy a cozy cup of tea together. Happy 2018 to you!

So sorry about your mailboxes! Ugh, vandals.

    From “Tea” by Amy Uyematsu:
[He] lifts the cup to his mouth,
a man who’s been practicing all his life,
    each time tasting something new.

Truly a delightful combination of poems to indulge in with a cup of tea. One more

    sipping tea, reading poetry
    life stands still
