Poetry Friday: Larking with the Birds

POETRY FRIDAYThanks to  Christie at Wondering and Wandering for hosting the bird fest Poetry Friday round up today.

Backstory for today’s poem:  We travelled to Idaho in April to visit our friends.  It happened to be Easter Sunday and they hold a daybreak service outside on a hill overlooking the Snake River Valley.

It was cool and a tad but windy.  I brought my camera for a just in case moment.  Wish happened.  And this photo has been sitting in my file since waiting for the best time.  Woohoo, Christie for suggesting a bird themed Poetry Friday.

This is just beautiful, Jone! I love the image of you and the meadow lark all singing together. There’s such a generous, joyful quality to bird song, isn’t there?
