Poemtober: Day 5

Thanks to Tabatha at The Opposite of Indifference for hosting Poetry Friday this week.

Thanks to Rebecca at Sloth Reads, I heard about the #Poemtober2018 .

as the news drones
on and on
children still apart

reconciliation
with parents a dream

  1. Michelle Kogan says:

I echo Sally’s comments above–what a sad and dire dilemma, thanks for bringing the children into the light Jone.

  2. Kay Mcgriff says:

I can’t imagine the heartbreak felt by both children and their parents. Keep shining a light on it until they are reunited. May we all keep speaking out and shining light on injustice.

  3. Linda Mitchell says:

It is a complete horror show. The only thing we can do is wait until Nov. 6th for any change of any kind. I sincerely hope we can get enough people to flip the situation.
That photo of the pumpkin is gorgeous and creepy….the stem base looks like talons.

  4. Sally Murphy says:

What a sad dream, but you capture it perfectly in just a few words. Thank you.

  5. Rebecca Herzog says:

I am so happy that you’re doing Poemtober! You are always able to pack so much into so few words.

  6. I’m afraid this horrific separation is getting lost in the drone…. thanks for shining a light.

I’m taking this as the news, Jone. Wonderful to read your interpretation.
