SOLSC19 3/31: It’s a Work in Progress

It’s March and the Slice of Life Challenge. Thanks to Two Writing Teachers for providing space for writers.

In January, I posted about my writing room and my OLW for 2019. I love how the writing room is coming together. It’s a place I love for writing and hanging out.

My space in January.

One of my friends, Kelly Ramsdell, is an amazing artist. She created some chakra heart garlands at the beginning of the year. I purchased them for my room and have been thinking on where to place them. I finally figured out that above where I work would be perfect. I also rid myself of a flood lamp that was more trouble than help. Plus, I discovered that by removing it, I now had a place to relocate a cart with drawers and open up the space.

My space in March.

It’s all a work in progress. I’m looking forward to getting a sofa sleeper from Ikea and a planter box to hang on the railing outside my window which currently looks like list:

The possibilities.

Amazing room! I would love for just one little space that is my own and clean and tidy like that. A well, some day, I will be retired and without little kids underfoot, and then I will make myself a room…and probably miss all the chaos. 😀

I don’t have a writing space. Now I want one. And the sofa sleeper? Um, yes. I feel like this SOL challenge has opened up something that has been dormant for a really long time. Thank you so much for sharing yourself with us.

  3. It looks as if you have lots of things around you for personal inspiration. Lovely space, because you created it.
And I love the possibilities out the window!

  4. I am so jealous of this space! (But ultimately too lazy and disorganized to create my own LOL!) I usually just end up writing wherever I land with my laptop and coffee. I love the heart chakra garland. What an inspiring space to write in!

  5. If you saw the contrast between this lovely room and where I post every day at my messy kitchen table you would laugh. I am inspired and in awe of your spot, but the truth is I’m a messy, disorganized slob. Enjoy!!!

This is literally “A Room of One’s Own”. It looks really amazing.
