Poetry Friday: NaWriPoMo 12/30

So glad you visited. Today Poetry Friday is hosted by Irene at Live Your Poem.

It’s been quite a week. I’ve subbed all week. The good news is I have student poems for Check It Out all month long now. The bad news it left little.time for me to write anything worth putting on here.

But today this

I rolled the Metaphor Dice a.few.days ago and didn’t do anything with them.

  1. Michelle Kogan says:

Thanks for this juicy tulip photo and haiku poem Jone–love the “bootlegged gift!”

  2. Linda Mitchell says:

Oh, a bootlegged gift makes me smile. The idea of bootlegging and then gifting. Wonderful! Thank you for subbing! It’s so important and so undervalued.

  3. maryleehahn says:

I’ve been bushwhacked by the day job, too! I haven’t been around to comment, but I want you to know I LOVE your graphic! And that tulip. WOW! The brilliance that has come from these poetry “toys” is awe-inspiring.

  4. Kay Mcgriff says:

That is a stunning photo. I think those metaphor dice must have had a lucky roll for you, too.

  5. lindabaie says:

Love the idea of that ‘bootlegged’ gift, Jone. Your pictures are sensational, too!

  6. cweichel says:

I subbed all week as well, but at least it was in the same school and in the same position. I held paint chip writing workshops and collected a mass of gorgeous poetry. It makes it all worthwhile.
I love how you put the dice and the image together.

  7. Lovely! Those poetry dice are on my to-purchase list.
