At the “7th Annual ‘February’ Poetry Project” the food prompt is honey. My take is a golden shovel. I took a strike line from Naomi Shihab Nye’s poem, “Honeybee”.
Dipping into the flower zone
Look at the bee. Winging and dipping
at sunrise. Diving into
the pollen, collecting the
golden treasures of the flower.
