SOLSC18 7/31: Golden Shovel

JRM sol

Thank you to Two Writing Teachers for holding space for us to sharing our writing every day in March.

Michelle at Today’s Little Ditty has quite the DMC this month. Click HERE to read this month’s interview with Nikki Grimes as she set a challenge of writing a golden shovel poem using a line from one of the poems in the post.

Read other Golden Shovel poems on the March 2018 padlet.  I am intrigued.  This is my second attempt.  The first one is on the padlet.

Strip Away

In the inky darkness of a

room, the lines of a poem

hang in the shadows. Can

the newborn worm moon strip

the harshness of winter away

refusing to walk in fear
